Celebrating 1 Year of Family, Faith, and Fellowship at Sanctuary Taiping
Can you believe it has been a year?
When we opened our doors for the first time, we envisioned a space where people could encounter God and find genuine community. Today, Sanctuary Taiping is so much more than just a building—it has truly become our spiritual home.
It is a place of warmth, safety, and growth. A place where we gather around the table as a family, celebrate life's greatest joys, and find shelter during its heaviest storms. As we look back on an incredible first year, we are filled with gratitude for everything God has done in our midst.
Just like any healthy household, a spiritual home requires care, investment, and the shared commitment of everyone who lives under its roof to keep it thriving.
In conjunction with our 1st Anniversary, we are launching our General Fund campaign: Our Church, Our Home.
When you give to the General Fund, you aren't just paying bills or maintaining a building. You are the quiet, essential engine powering the daily ministry of Sanctuary Taiping. You are directly investing in:
Our Sunday Gatherings: Keeping the sanctuary welcoming, the lights on, the air conditioning running, and our worship systems operating smoothly every week.
Our Next Generation: Providing resources, spaces, and curriculum for our kids and youth ministries to grow deep roots in faith.
Our Community Care & Outreach: Enabling our pastoral team to support families in crisis and allowing us to serve the wider Taiping community.

WHAT'S NEXT
VARSITY+
(The educational, music, and arts arm of the church)
Varsity+ is dedicated to nurturing students through holistic education. To enhance our impact and reach more families, we are focusing on two key areas:
Learning Environment Upgrades: We aim to fully furnish our classrooms with new tables, chairs, and whiteboards. Additionally, a fresh coat of paint will be applied to transform the space into a vibrant, conducive learning environment.
Marketing & Outreach: Allocation of funds will be directed toward strategic marketing and promotional campaigns to increase enrollment and awareness within the community.
Church Ministries & Operations
💡 Sanctuary Cares
To deepen our community impact, we are expanding our outreach initiatives to support vulnerable groups. Our 2027 focus includes:
Community Support: Scaling up our Meal Drops program and managing local food banks.
Empowerment: Offering financial education programs to equip families with long-term financial literacy.
Education Fund: Establishing a dedicated micro-fund to support the educational needs of families within the B40 income category.
🌏 Sanctuary Missions
Driven by the Great Commission, we are expanding our global outreach with a strong focus on Thailand for 2027:
Hatyai (First Half of 2027): Embarking on a brand-new missions trip to establish fresh partnerships and serve the local community.
Chiang Rai (Second Half of 2027): Returning to Chiang Rai to continue supporting the Mae SalongNai Outreach, building upon the impactful work started during our 2026 trip.
🏡 Building the Church by Building the City
We believe in practical, love-in-action evangelism—finding a need and meeting it; finding a hurt and healing it. We aim to be a consistent blessing to our immediate neighbors through simple, thoughtful gestures, such as:
Distributing Mandarin oranges during Lunar New Year and mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Assisting elderly or needy neighbors with minor home maintenance, such as changing light bulbs and basic repairs.
🎹 Equipment Procurement
Following a recent lightning strike, our main keyboard suffered severe motherboard damage and short-circuited.
Objective: We are raising funds to purchase a high-quality digital piano. This instrument will serve a vital dual purpose: anchoring our weekend church worship services and supporting weekday music lessons for Varsity+ students.
